ENGINEERED SURFACES

ENGINEERED OR MAN-MADE SURFACES

If you prefer man-made material to natural stone, DIMSTONE carries a vast selection of high-quality and sophisticated manmade surfaces. These products are the culmination of nature's beauty and man's highly skilled craftsmanship. They come in a wide variety of colours and can be shaped to suit your particular requirements.

ENGINEERED STONE - QUARTZ

This material is often referred to in the industry as quartz, but the name engineered stone gives you a better idea of what it is. Unlike natural stone countertops that are cut from pure granite, marble or sandstone, engineered stone counters are made from quartz crystals held together with a resin binder. The appearance of the finished engineered stone is rich, even luxurious. Quartz has the same durability as granite but is non-porous so it resists staining much better than granite, marble and concrete. It stands up to juice, oil, wine, tomato, coffee and other sources of stains in the kitchen. For cleanliness, a non-porous surface means that it will not harbor bacteria or viruses. You can always be confident that you are getting your quartz countertop absolutely clean, and that’s a great benefit in both the kitchen and the bathroom.
Dimstone carries these renowned brands of quartz: CaesarStone, QuartzForms, SileStone, HanStone and SantaMargherita Quartz

PORCELAIN SURFACES

Already a popular concept in Europe, these extra-large-format porcelain slabs are fairly new to the North-American market. Giant 10 x 5-ish foot slabs usually come in a couple of thin profiles around 6 mm and 12 mm. Large format, ultra-thin, and lightweight Gauged Porcelain slabs are durable and suitable to create focal walls, handsome floors, striking backsplashes, or lovely durable countertops, bringing the seamless look of continuous natural stone for a fraction of the cost of stone. Available in dozen rich colors and organic textures that mimic the beauty of natural stone, Gauged Porcelain complements a variety of design and architectural styles in interior and exterior projects.

GLASS SURFACES

Glass brings a modern and sophisticated feel to any project. Its ultra-crisp and clean background compliments many design styles. This versatile material is perfect for flooring, countertops and so much more.
