TILES

CERAMIC, PORCELAIN TILES & MOSAIC

A total tile package – porcelains, glazed ceramics, glass mosaics, natural stones and metallic – addresses the myriad aesthetic and performance requirements of homeowners, designers and architects. Ceramic and porcelain tiles are a tough and enduring choice that provide durability and great moisture resistance. Tile floors and walls are easy to maintain and they look fantastic in many rooms of the home, being most popular for wet areas.

PORCELAIN TILES

For many of us, the terms "ceramic" and "porcelain" are used interchangeably, as if they were the same thing. Even the manufacturers claim a vast world of difference between the two, in order to justify porcelain's cachet and its higher prices, it turns out that the common idea of these materials is closer to the truth. Ceramic and porcelain are composed differently and do behave accordingly upon installation, but with only slight differences, the chief difference being that porcelain is more impervious to water infiltration than ceramic.

CERAMIC

The different hues and sizes make ceramic tiles perfect for creating interesting tile patterns, whether your design is complex or simple, geometric and rhythmic, or demure or bold. The interplay of lines between tile and joint creates interesting surfaces. Dimstone provides you with the tools to do this entirely as you wish. Designing tile patterns is easy with the Pattern Generator.

MOSAIC

Mosaic is an assemblage of small pieces of colored glass, unglazed tiles, stone, or other materials, commonly used for flooring and walls. Patterns of various colors and shapes are first placed into larger sheets for easy installation. It is often used in decorative art or as interior decoration.
